Overview

Max Sutherland is a multi-industry, global corporate strategy, and development executive, bringing more than 25 years of strategic Fortune 500 CEO initiatives experience to the table.  Having started his career in Wall Street Banking and transitioning to manufacturing via Big 4 Consulting, Max focuses on growth, mergers, and acquisitions, and enterprise-wide asset optimization to maximize top- and bottom-line financial performance, expand into new markets, and strengthen brand equity to achieve long-term objectives.

In addition, Max has over 20 years of leadership experience driving and executing corporate and business development efforts in Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Max has restructured operations, alliances, and organizations, addressing branding issues and customer advocacy strategies, and realigned service offerings to meet customer needs and market trends.

Max has, also, been a leader of change throughout his career and a strong advocate of staff development and client/customer involvement to create a team culture, implement strategic initiatives and accomplish business goals.

His experience spans six (6) continents, diverse cultures, and multiple industries, providing insights and best practices to broad business challenges and investments.

Max earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Indiana University, with a focus in International Relations, specifically North-South relations and Sub-Saharan Africa.  He earned his MBA from Duke University in 2004 with a focus on strategy and corporate restructuring and speaks German, French and Italian from frequent living and working abroad and from family.

Most recently, Max has been serving on the Board of Directors for the World Trade Center Atlanta, sitting on the board’s Executive Committee as Vice President, Corporate Development, focusing on growing the corporate community involvement and accomplishing WTC Atlanta real estate development goals.
